The Studio

The Mid90s: Jr Scorpio
While Jack started realizing his vision, he also worked towards training his first born the trade of music, to continue on developing reggae music in Jamaica. Maurice"Kerry" Johnson Jr did exactly that!
At the age of 14, he had already produced music for some of the biggest talents in reggae at the time and everyone in the music fraternity saw him as the next best thing-a young producer on the rise. In 1994, shortly after the release of what became the sound's anthem, Soundboy Killing by Mega Banton, horrible news hit the industry, the Johnson family, and tore Jack apart-Kerry lost life in a motor vehicle at merely 15 years old. The loss was very devastating for Scorpio, leaving him to time away from music.
Proceeding Kerry's death, came a years of mourning and emotion having to adjust to the pain of losing Jack's first born. It was not until the late 90s, early 00s that Jack was able to start re-adjusting and truly giving music his all, again investing in local talent and eventually redeveloping a studio
Black Scorpio Grand Opening of the new studio welcomed the ribbon cutting with then
The Late Honorable, Opposition Leader of the Jamaica Labour Party - Edward Seaga (2000)
PNP Minister of Tourism and Sports, The Honorable Portia Simpson Miller (2000)
and the Honorable Delano Franklin, and the Honorable Babsy Grange

Black Scorpio Become a Hit Record Label in the 80s
